Described in Sellers and Van Ee, Maps and Charts of North America and the West Indies 1750-1789, entry 635, p. 134: "Shows harbors, bays, and inlets, rocks, shoals, banks, soundings, islands, the type bottom, relief, and numerous early place-names. The land area is blank except for rivers, lakes, and some mountains, and an Indian path is shown along the coast of Newfoundland opposite the Straits of Belle Isle."
