Printed map. 3 visual scales [107 mm = 3 Milles de Livonie or Lieflandische Meilen]. Originally published in Atlas von Liefland oder von den beyden Gouvernementer und Herzogthümern Lief-und Ehstland und der Provinz Oesel von Ludwig August Graf Mellin. The map was plate 8 in that atlas. Described in Maps in the Atlases of the British Library, v.1, p.675: “Some maps in this Atlas von Liefland have plate numbers in their upper right corners, not corresponding to their sequence in the atlas.” On verso: a Robert Clifford bookplate. A slip of paper was found inside the folded map. On one side is Honble R. Clifford, Welbeck Street, 10. On the other side is a hand-drawn index showing 13 map sheets, of which number 1 is Riga. Acquired as part of the Lord Cholmondely Collection.
